For Maybelline New York's Super Stay Baby Matte launch, we were tasked with delivering a full post production package built around a world that didn't exist, and one which had to feel completely real. Working with Gotham agency and Fresh Films Production, the project centred on two key deliverables: A CGI storefront composited into the streets of New York, and an original 3D mascot character designed from scratch to embody the Baby Matte brand, as well as the character, designed to be soft, expressive and tactile. The character was developed using a hybrid pipeline that combined traditional CG craftsmanship with AI-assisted workflows, allowing us to push the performance and personality of the design while keeping the artistry at the core. The campaign also featured beauty post and product work alongside K-pop artist Ningning from aespa.
This is how we work. A demonstration of the AI-assisted CGI pipeline that sits at the core of Singularity's post production offering — and what it means in practice for creative ambition, timelines, and cost. By integrating AI image generation directly into our 3D workflow, we can take a brief from concept to photorealistic render in a fraction of the time traditional CGI alone would require. What once took two months now takes two weeks. The output — liquid textures, organic forms, high-gloss product renders — is indistinguishable from traditional CG, but the process is fundamentally faster, more iterative, and more responsive to creative direction. Visual effects, powered by visual intelligence.
